As Player 01 of Thumb Arcade, I have a varied background in mobile apps, used Atari's, Apple IIe's, rare guitar strings and odd mountain bike parts. I don't take myself or titles too seriously, except when titles are on books. Books are important. Just not really for gamers. Thumb Arcade is my third start-up business and by far the one I am taking the most delight in. I get to dream up and create games for a living* with a great partner who is equally as twisted and perfectionistic as I am.
* Ok, so it doesn't yet provide a complete living but that could all soon change. And I don't really care anyway since I love doing it.**
** My wife would argue the merits of this last point. As would Player 02.
Have patience, good things are coming soon ...
What fun would games be if you couldn't play and/or create them with a friend? Thumb Arcade is a joint effort. As Player 02, I take my responsibility of completing the pair very (eh hem) seriously. I am Tonto to Player 01's Lone Ranger, Butthead to his Beavis and Herb to his Peaches. Our focus is combining functionality, originality and personality in everything we do. The apps we create are like children to us. We conceive them, protect and develop them, bring them into the world and raise them to maturity. Although off-centered and demented at times (proud parents we are), our children do mean well. Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock said it best: It takes two to make a thing go right, it takes two to make it outta sight!
